![]() ![]() Either way we are out a good amount of money and now have a sour taste in our mouths about the Escape and Fords in general. Our only recourse is to have the brake pads and rotors changed at our expense which will negate the warranty for the brakes we have still on the car or trade the car in when the warranty is up. We are embarrassed when we back up because it is such a loud noise and people look around to see where it's coming from. Since receiving the car back, the noise has only gotten worse. They heard the noise but there was nothing they could do. They weren't going to change the brake pads and rotors because they said that it was a normal occurrence for the car. We then contacted Ford Corporation and dealt with them for another 4 months taking the car back in for service numerous times only to be told the same thing. They claimed that the noise was a normal occurrence and the brakes were fine. Brunswick NJ, they refused to do what they needed to do which was to change the rotors and brake pads. After numerous times taking the car in to the Malouf Ford dealership in No. Then after 2 years of having the car we started to hear loud barking noises from the back brakes while in reverse. Ford came up with a solution and put in new seats but it was just a slight improvement. ![]() They were not an option and we didn't need them because we have cloth seats however the element in the seat could be felt and made it uncomfortable to sit. First we had an issue with the front seat heating elements. I would love to give this car a five star rating however we've had 2 major issues that have soured our opinion. Also the windshield easily cracks as ours has three cracks in hidden spots that we are just now waiting for them to spider because it is to costly to repair them at once. ![]() The vehicle is a safe vehicle as we have had a road sign legitly thrown at our vehicle and it did a little bit of damage, but if you are looking for reliable I wouldn't get this vehicle tbh. After normal warranty fell just recently the evap valve failed and a coil in the door broke, luckily we purchased the extended warranty and now the dealership said that their is sheet metal damage in the door from possibly wind whipping the door. ![]() We have had unfortunate problem of a linkage that holds the back passenger suspension break while traveling and we were without that vehicle for 3 months due to part issues in 21. The panoramic roof failed and when they fixed it they didn't fully put it back together and a cover blew off the top of the vehicle that we ended up paying to replace. My wife and I have had this vehicle now for 3 years now and been through so many issues. And when I took it in my phone on my FordPass popped up a customers satisfaction program for the fuel injectors asked the service advisor if they could do that he says no you’ve already had the “drip pan installed” I Do not recommend this terrible product of a vehicle They did this 3 different times saying they needed to replace the bolts, gave up at that point now the engine lights started at 20kĥ engine lights in 5 months with only adding 10k miles on to it, they didn’t have a appointment at ford for the “recall for the fuel injectors according to the service advisor the vehicle is unlikely to start on fire” so I did the ford mobile repair they added a drip pan, and said it was all fixed that’s when the second and third code of a engine light happened, took it in all fixed then now on again…. It is a 2020 ford escape sel, It only has 31k miles i’ve had 5 engine lights on since I’ve had it for almost 3 years it all started with a Creaking from the rear end in the back, thinking it was something serious took it in they said nothing was wrong at one dealer so I took it to another ford dealership down the road they said it was the shocks they replaced the shocks the noise was gone for a while… then the brakes started making a noise in the back and in the front a squealing from the back and a squeaky sound from the front, anyway took that in they said that there is a recall for the brakes “bolts” ![]()
